Job Functions
- An exciting opportunity for a Senior .NET Developer to join our successful Aftermarket business, using your creativity and software development skills to develop new applications.
- Your number one priority will be to assist with the development of a range of online software solutions for the Aftermarket department using languages and technologies of the .NET framework.
- Develop applications for both internal and external customers from scratch as well as managing and supporting existing software solutions and systems.
- Partner with team members to produce software design and architecture.
- Write clean, scalable, code using .NET C# and write test-based applications for testing code and logic.
- Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle.
- Evaluate and research related products and technologies.
- We are a fast-paced business with often competing priorities. Work cross functionally internally and externally to deliver customer and business requirements.
- Roles like this don’t come along often – you will have exposure to a wide range of stakeholders and complex projects.
About You
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role within a similarly complex and challenging business.
- This is the perfect role for someone with proven experience as a .NET (C#) developer producing ASP .NET web applications (WebApi, MVC, and Blazor)
- Experience .NET Core and .NET 5.0 as well as SQL Server (and ORM frameworks such as Entity Framework)
- Content Management Systems experience such as Umbraco.
- Fundamental knowledge of web development including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- You will be familiar with software architecture patterns (RED / Onion Architecture / Clean Architecture etc.) and with source code control using git and GitHub.
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) using Azure DevOps.
- Experience with Windows Server management (e.g. IIS, Scheduled Tasks and PowerShell) and experience with Azure Cloud Services.
- Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code and SQL Management Studio experience.
- Excellent communications skills are essential – both verbal and written.
- A logical, ‘hands-on’ approach to problem solving.
- Relationship building will come easily to you. You will be confident and won’t shy away from working with a variety of stakeholders, internally and externally.
- Driven, curious, and passionate about delivering the highest quality of work at all times.
- Things can be hectic here so you will have the ability to work unsupervised, often to tight deadlines.
- Generally, someone who is approachable, with a strong work ethic and a desire to succeed.
